Biography

An internationally published photojournalist for thirty years, Howard Davies' documentary photography has been nominated for the Amnesty International Photojournalism Award and exhibited at:

- London ( Guardian Newsroom and National Theatre)

- Amsterdam (Melkweg)

- Bristol (Watershed)

- Newcastle (Side Gallery)

- Dublin (Filmbase)

Humanitarian coverage for leading aid agencies including UNHCR, UNICEF, RED CROSS, OXFAM and DFID, documenting their aid response to conflicts and disasters including :

- Rwanda and Burundi

- Bosnia and Kosovo

- West Bank and Gaza

- Tsunami in Sri Lanka

- Refugees in Asia and Africa

In the UK commissions for news media, trade unions and the voluntary sector have included: Guardian, Refugee Council, SENSE, RNIB, SCF and TUC

Howard Davies has photographed thirty children's books for the leading educational publishers, DK, Watts, Evans, Wayland in diverse countries including Saudi Arabia, Jamaica, USA, Poland, Bangladesh, Egypt and China
